This impactful and sparkling Grossular Garnet cluster consists of a multitude of lustrous, scintillating, cinnamon-orange crystals from the celebrated Jeffrey Mine in Quebec, Canada. Although it's a sad loss to collectors with the mine closing several years ago, the closure does ensure value in the material it did produce. The rich, gemmy to translucent Garnet crystals are juxtaposed to form a large mounded mosaic of a unique cinnamon-red-orange color that just glows in cabinet lighting and especially sunlight! Although close together, the Grossular crystals still have good isolation and every one of them is gemmy! There are dozens of crystals on this piece, and each crystal has perfect form and brilliant luster with very faint striations on select crystal faces that just sparkle in every orientation. It's a 360 degree display specimen, only very lightly contacted at the base on one side only, as shown; with all of the display crystals being pristine. Overall, it is tremendously impactful and has a unique color, strong and different from nearly all others we see from here and gives it a visual impact that leaps out. Ex Rock Currier collection #1687 which dates it to the 1980s or before. This is an important display specimen.
