Excellent example of a Hematite included Quartz specimen from the 2020 finds from the Karur District, India. This is a wonderful prismatic transparent Quartz crystal with a Dauphine crystal habit. It has slightly sugary termination faces, but a clear glassy large Dauphine face that allows an awesome view of the phantom Quartz inclusion. The inclusion has a preferential heavy coating of shimmering red Hematite with the face below the Dauphine face only having a sparse sprinkling of Hematite. Very cool effect!! As with most of this material there are little nicks along the edges and some contacting. There are also two smaller side crystals present.
