Perched aesthetically on pyrite is a cluster of glassy and gemmy, light green, phosphophyllite crystals, to 1.5 cm in length. Obviously, few enough exist and those that do are treasured, and only come out of old collections. This is a magnificent specimen because it is tall, dramatic, gemmy, and most importantly on matrix! Matrix phospho's are almost unheard of, and nearly all competitive thumbnail specimens are therefore loose singles. This is a tall, dominant crystal (disclosure: repaired cleanly) on pyrite. We bought it ourselves from Bolivian dealer Marco Bolanos in the late 1990s, cleaned and trimmed it, and sold to Dick Mushlitz, at the time. It has now been brought back to market for the first time in over 20 years. Complete all around, it is aesthetic, dramatic, and a full sized thumbnail for any competitive collection.
