Description
Moroccan fluorite is not often at the top of the list for aesthetics AND color. This unique style features yellow cubes so sharp they look like Jolly Rancher candies, stuck on sparkly white quartz. The yellow fluorite from here is common, but in this quality is 1 in 1000. When I first saw this turn up in Wayne's fluorite collection, I was gobsmacked by the stunning pure yellow color (most of these have a trace of brown or amber hue), and surprised by the location because we had simply not seen them reach this quality of color and contrast. Nearly perfect razor sharp crystals, to about an inch or 2.3 cm (with a few very very trivial spots of restoration), perched on quartz matrix...and that matrix makes it jump out in contrast. Minor pyrite is in association.
