A stunning gem transparent crystal of Fluorite sits atop this natural pedestal of Calcite like a crystallized, faceted golf ball of glass. The totally transparent crystal measures 3.2 x 3.2 cm and has incredibly sharp crystallography that draws the eye. The clarity is amazing and the luster is very good. These Fluorites from this remote mine in China set a new standard in clear Fluorite quality in recent years when they started coming out in 2010-2013 and we bought this one in China at that time. People were stunned to see them! Not since the material from Dalnegorsk in the 1980s had we seen such ice-clear Fluorite and then those were mostly cubes while these are complex cuboctahedra. Complete all around and with minor Quartz for accent.
