A very visually impressive large display specimen of fluorite from the Diana Maria mine, with crystals of the top quality: highly transparent, gorgeous limpid green fluorite sitting in bubbly snowy-white aragonite. The largest twin on this piece measures 2.6 cm across, tip to tip, at one edge of the plate. A third of the crystals visible are twinned, but the majority are single crystals - unusual for this style of English fluorite! It is a well-trimmed plate with good aesthetics, very even and high quality luster throughout. There is some very minor damage, just a couple of small chips here or there on the edge - on a plate of this size and quality overall, considered very acceptable. This mine is producing now, but could stop in any year. It is the only major specimen recovery operation still going in England today. We are pleased to announce that we made a sizable purchase of the stashed material from this 2017 find, which had been put away before COVID, and so we are now able to offer them years later and at half the original asking prices!
