The Queen of Green pocket from the Diana Maria mine at Rogerley quarry is widely considered to be one of the finest pockets of gemmy green fluorites (with some associated with galena and/or white aragonite) to be recovered from the quarry in modern times. This spectacular small cabinet specimen of fluorite is one of the finest of the lot we obtained and features many clusters of larger crystals, gem clear, and with bright purple daylight fluorescence as is typical of the finds from the locality. The crystals reach to just under 2 cm in size and the piece is particularly 3-dimensional overall. As the operations at Diana Maria are exclusively for specimen extraction, the specimen was professionally handled and trimmed, resulting in very minimal damage. A very fine example from the locality and a modern classic!
