A statuesque single transparent cobalt blue Fluorite cube found in 2019-2020 finds from the Mesozoic limestones at Poggio Balate in Sicily. The main crystal is 2.6 x 2.3 x 2.1 cm and sits atop a group of smaller crystals that hold it aloft. The intense blue phantoms with the inner white core make for an incredible display piece. It is in great condition with only minor edge bruising. The rest of the piece has some contacting. There are a couple of options for displaying the piece. I prefer the view of the blue cube floating above all the preferentially coated contrasting white cube faces. The blue hue varies depending on lighting but shows brilliant color under cool LED lights and purple fluorescence under UV light. A visually enticing single cube!
