An elegantly curving, elongated, unusual crystal from the famous Himalaya Mine for tourmaline in San Diego. This crystal has a gentle curve, as it grades in color from pink to green. It is a classic Himalaya style, and you actually do get these curved crystals sometimes here - which apparently tells a story about the violence and conditions of the formation of these crystals as plates collided and mountains rose. This has one invisible repair, very clean by old mine-run standards (although it could be redone to make it truly invisible), in the bottom of the green zone near the top. ex Klaus Neumann Collection and quite unusual! Klaus Neumann collection (the largest collector of fine San Diego material in Europe, surely).
