Amidst the lot we have selected from literally a ton of Quartz that came out in December 2022 to January 2023, we looked for a mix of exceptional pieces with color and styles that had visual appeal beyond the unique inclusions themselves. This is a rather different-looking Quartz with darker yellow-orange to amber Halloysite inclusions compared to most that have come out the last 2-3 years. Although the coloration is darker, strangely the amount of visible inclusions are less dense and show off the highly fibrous texture of the Halloysite. The crystal terminations are complete with one crystal in the front center having a peculiar frosted, almost etched-looking, face on the front side. Many crystals reach to 2 inches or more (5-6 cm). The piece is in good condition. There are a few crystals on the periphery that appear to have broken, probably due to geologic stresses, but have recrystallized in the pocket and are therefore complete. A curious darker coloring makes this piece stand out from others and was a surprise to see.
