Fine classic Fluorite from Sicily with outstanding blue color saturation zoned with clear to white Fluorite centers that Poggio Balate is known for. This cabinet sized specimen has sharp transparent cubic crystal faces up to 3.4 cm x 3.1 cm. These intergrown cubes have a vivid blue phantom edge and show a unique final partial purple Fluorite stage as seen on one of the crystals on the right side and on the underneath side. There is also a preferential late stage contrasting white coating on some faces that obscures the blue zoning and white centers. Contacting is observed on the bottom with incomplete crystals along the edges and base. The display face Fluorite crystals are very sharp and in good condition. It fluoresces purple under UV light. The blue hue varies depending on lighting but shows brilliant color under cool LED lights. A great cabinet sized Fluorite with an radiant blue color and a unique partial purple final stage.
