What a captivating pink Elbaite cluster from the Palelni Pegmatite in Myanmar (Burma). This is not your typical Tourmaline cluster with typical prismatic crystals! It has several, 1 to 1.5 cm intergrown groups composed of rich pastel pink, divergent sprays of tightly bound acicular, Elbaite crystals, some having a triangular cross-section when viewed from the top displaying a satin luster, while others are lustrous, partial hemispheres that are gemmy when looking down through their tops. There is good separation between the individual bundles. This Tourmaline miniature has a diverse set of textures with two distinct habits in one aesthetic little bright pink group!
