This mostly gem, saturated, pinkish-red Ruby has an unusual elongated hexagonal shape with marvelous luster. One can see multiple gem areas internally separated by criss-crossing inclusions. It has well defined prism and pinacoid faces displaying subtle growth features. This superb Ruby thumbnail has a mass of 4.8 grams. It has a highly unusual shape, and at first glance from the front looks pseudo-cubic in form. It is a rare habit, as noted on Larson's own label. He collected rubies for diversity of habits and styles, more than for size.
