Phenakite

Here's a nice and intriguing Burmese Phenakite thumbnail with a character unto itself. It displays super sharp faces and edges with a great pyramidal termination with a uniquely attractive translucent, white interior. The core of the crystal has a dappled texture with whitish areas intimately admixed with more translucent areas, all of this on a scale of a millimeter or two resulting in almost a opalescent effect that is truly stunning. The very outer layer of the Phenakite crystal is completely transparent with a very glassy luster and upon close inspection with the right orientation reflecting off the faces, very subtle geometric patterns can be observed for a special effect. In exceptional condition with only a trace of chatter on an edge on the backside. 7.15 grams.
