This striking small cabinet fluorite from the Queen of Green pocket at the Diana Maria mine in Rogerley quarry features beautiful, gemmy green fluorite up to 1.5cm with a minor association of galena – a classic combination from the locality. The largest cluster sits perched near the top of the specimen, with smaller crystals covering the rest of the surface. The top crown of gem crystals is amazing! Overall, Nearly pristine: There is only a damaged tip to one of the crystals near the very bottom of the specimen as seen in the video, and some typical peripheral damage due to trimming at edges to make it so balanced in size as a result. This pocket produced some of the finest specimens from the quarry, featuring rich color, gemmy crystals, associations of galena and/or white aragonite, and the wonderful purple daylight fluorescence that these classic finds are known for. The fluorite specimens from the Rogerley quarry – both from Rogerley mine and the more recent Diana Maria – are modern classics from the UK, and are easily distinguished from other fluorite finds around the world.
