Fluorapatite crystals from the pegmatites in Myanmar (Burma) are rarely available, however, pegmatites in the Molo Village area have produced some stunning crystals like this gemmy, lavender colored thumbnail. The crystal has an unusual habit for Fluorapatite and this one looks more like the lavender Creedites from Mexico! The color is a sublime pale lavender and there is one main crystal and a small (1 cm) sidecar crystal that are completely gem and pristine except for the tiny contact on the bottom where it was attached to another mineral, otherwise it looks like a complete floater. Most of the crystal faces are glassy and a few have a satin luster. A super nice thumbnail from the pegmatites in Burma! 1.23 grams.
