The classic fluorites from the Rogerley quarry are instantly recognizable in the mineral community. Known for their wonderful green color and bright purple daylight fluorescence, these finds are quite unique when compared to fluorites from other worldwide localities. This stunning small cabinet specimen is completely blanketed with numerous green fluorite crystals up to 2.2cm, with larger gemmy crystals clustered on the top-left of the specimen, adding a fantastic focal point. There is minimal damage around the outer perimeter of the specimen due to trimming. Part of a selection of fine examples from the Queen of Green pocket, found at the Diana Maria mine at Rogerley quarry, which, while known since the 1970s, began specimen mining in 2017. This particular pocket represents some of the finest gem fluorite specimens found at the locality, many of which are associated with white aragonite. These finds are modern classics, and this specimen would make a wonderful addition to any fine mineral collection! We are pleased to announce that we made a sizable purchase of the stashed material from this find, which had been put away before COVID, and so we are now able to offer them years later and at half the original asking prices!
