A classic old style of Himalaya Mine tourmaline, from the 1960s and the era of former mine owner Ralph Potter. These actually are quite rare, and recognizable if you have the eye trained from seeing so many. This piece went to local San Diego collector John Frey, and then was in Cal Graeber's collection (also a San Diego local), before he sold it to German collector Klaus Neumann (the largest collector of fine San Diego material in Europe, surely). It is 166.3 grams. The video should say it all - a classic, American multi colored tourmaline!
