Very choice for the species, a lemon yellow sharp lustrous and translucent crystal of londonite measuring 1.9 cm across set on a pegmatite matrix. In great condition. Londonite is a rare cesium rich borate mineral that belongs to the rhodizite group. It was first described in 1999 from pegmatites in the Antandrokomby area of Madagascar and was named in honor of the mineral dealer David London. Londonite typically occurs as small dodecahedral crystals and is often colorless, pale yellow, or pinkish, with a vitreous luster and high hardness. It forms in complex granitic pegmatites and is commonly associated with other rare element minerals such as beryl, tourmaline, and spodumene.
