Block of perfectly formed, lustrous cubic crystals of a very dark violet color (requiring strong lighting to reveal their transparency, the base of the specimen having developed on an opaque crust). The crystals are topped by double-terminated crystals of calcite, the largest measuring 2.1 cm.
