Perched aesthetically on its marble matrix are two exquisite, well formed afghanite crystals, to 2.2 cm in length, that are lustrous and translucent, along with exhibiting a gorgeous, rich blue color. Larger afghanite crystals are occasionally available but the quality and the two-crystal aesthetics make this specimen one of the best from the deposit in its size range, I would think.
