Pyrosmalite-(Fe) is a very RARE silicate. This iron-rich variety specimen is RICHLY covered with sharp, lustrous, hexagonal, gray crystals to 1.3 cm on matrix. This showy and excellent piece, probably dating to the 1800s when they were famous for the species and locale, was formerly in the Fred Pough, Phil Scalisi and George Elling Collections.
