This Piedmont region of Italy, right at the Swiss border, has produced fine alpine minerals for hundreds of years. This matrix cafarsite specimen is no exception. This species composed of calcium, titanium, iron, and manganese, arsenate, features two, chocolate colored, lustrous octahedrons, aesthetically perched on matrix. The largest crystal measures right at 1.0 cm across. Just superb!
