Cafarsite is a very rare, hydrated arsenite and this very fine, sharp crystal is from the Type Locality area in the Binn Valley of Switzerland. This dark sub-metallic, grey-brown crystal is a well formed modified cube with octahedral faces. This is an excellent example of species, large and very lustrous compared to most. Cafarsite was not recognized until 1966. Ex. Carl Davis Collection.
