This is a rare earth arsensate from near the Swiss border with Italy. It occurs on a granite matrix with smoky quartz crystals reaching .5 cm in length. The cervadonite has a metallic, black color with super luster and exhibits a diverging spray of crystals. The largest crystal of this alpine species measures .7 cm in length. This is a rare beauty!
