A rich miniature-sized specimen of incredible richness for the species, featuring RELATIVELY LARGE crystals of Francevillite to several mm in size completely coating a thin matrix plate. Characteristically powdery microcrystals of orangey-yellow curienite are abundant in association, as well. This mine closed in 1999 after 40 years of production, and this is, for quality if not size, pretty much as good as the mineral gets. This particular specimen comes from the Sorbonne (with a Xerox label to this effect). Note that this its the type locality of BOTH species! 4.5 x 4 x 0.6 cm
