Arvada, Colorado, USAArizona is famous world wide for its massive copper deposits. Perhaps the most famous of these deposits are found adjacent to the town of Bisbee located in Cochise County. The copper deposits around Bisbee were fabulously rich and produced approximately 8 billion pounds of copper over the lifetime of its various mines (Graeme, 1981). Even more valued than the countless pounds of base and precious metals that made the miners of that era wealthy, were the aesthetically stunning mineral specimens that were produced. Bisbee has quite a variety of mineral species, with over 337 identified species according to (Graeme III, 2020). However for all the variety, the one that makes the heart race of any collector, whether novice or veteran, is a good Bisbee Azurite.
