Description
The Hastie’s quarry is a currently operating aggregate quarry in Hardin County Illinois. These fabulous fluorites are found as a byproduct of the open pit operating in a vicinity of a previous fluorite mine. The majority of the specimens are in rough condition due to blasting from the open pit mine. This particular specimen is in great shape from this locality with sharp edges and well-defined internal purple color bands.
