This is a significant small cabinet sized example of Tennantite that has very large crystals! It is a large cluster with crystals from 1 to 4.5 cm, with the largest tetrahedral crystal sitting dramatically atop. It is from the noted collection of Marshall Sussman, Tsumeb collector and specialist since the mid 1990s. This specimen is a solid 3-dimensional sculptural mass composed of numerous, submetallic, charcoal gray Tennantite crystals that exhibit a subtle bluish iridescent. Tennantites from the Tsumeb Mine are arguably the world's best for the species and are classics. They were never plentiful, especially as display sized specimens and rarely of this size.
