Epidote with quartz from Green Monster Mountain, Alaska, featuring lustrous deep green blocky epidote crystals to 6.2 cm in great condition on contrasting white quartz matrix. The epidote crystals are opaque with rich saturated color, sharp form, and bright vitreous luster that stand out nicely against the quartz. Green Monster Mountain is a classic Alaskan locality known for producing impressive epidote crystals in metamorphosed limestone, and specimens from this area are well regarded for their size, color, and strong crystal development.
