A wonderful small cabinet example from this old classic locality. A sharp crystal of what was once azurite measuring 2.1 cm across his standing up from a matrix of crystallized mottramite. The azurite crystals are replaced by chatoyant green crystallized malachite. The specimen is in excellent condition. A second very generation of lustrous blue crystallized azurite is scattered throughout. The specimen comes with a previous collection sheet showing a photograph of the piece and a short description. The specimen at one time or another was in the collections of Wouter van Tichelen, Marshall Sussman and Joseph Frielich.
