Description
Characteristic twinned crystal of gemmy colourless to translucent white Hyalophane crystal from the Zagradski Potok mine at Zagradski Creek in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Measuring overall to 8 cm, the well-developed crystal has smooth faces and terminations with a fabulous glassy lustre. The centres of the crystals are translucent creamy white, but towards their outer edges an along the termination become quite transparent. This is a beautiful example of Hyalophane, a potassium-barium tectosilicate.
