A very fine, steely-silver Hematite crystal measuring 1.9 x 1.8 x 1.4 cm perched on a small sliver of matrix from the N'Chwaning II mine in Northern Cape Province, South Africa. The crystal has a mirror-bright flat pinacoid surrounded by outward sloping, vertically striated prism faces. A great thumbnail Hematite from this famous mine in the Kalahari Manganese Field.
