This combination of Baryte with Quartz and Calcite entirely covers a thin plate of carbonate matrix from Gy'ngy'soroszi in the M'tra Mountains of Heves County, Hungary. Small, yet well formed, milky Quartz crystals completely mask the matrix over which delicate, silky acicular tufts of snow-white Calcite are scattered. These appear very delicate, so care should be taken not to touch them. Towards the right-hand end, a parallel cluster of translucent, milky-white Baryte crystals sit vertically on the Quartz, forming rhombohedral crystals up to 3.5 x 2.5 x 0.5 cm. An unusual habit of Calcite with nicely crystallised Quartz and Baryte from Gy'ngy'soroszi.
