An exemplary example epitomising the old adage, small is beautiful. Two perfect spherical sprays of dark blue Azurite crystals sit at opposite ends of a carbonate matrix encrusted with one millimetre pale salmon to tan Dolomite crystals. Each cluster of Azurite crystals averages 7 mm in diameter and are composed of tiny radiating Azurite crystals with no damage or bruising of any kind. It is a lovely example from the quarry at Altenmittlau, Freigericht, Spessart, Hesse, Germany.\n
