Valentinite (5 Pieces)
Unknown Owner
This slightly unusual specimen - or should I say five specimens - of Valentinite shows world-class crystals of this very rare species. From Porvenir mine in Oruro Department, Bolivia the crystals are superb, reaching 6 mm in length on the largest specimen and 1.6 cm in the loose crystal aggregates. They are sharply formed, but grey in colour, presumably due to inclusions, but normally this species only occurs as thin plates or microcrystals. There is some scuffing to the crystals, due to their extreme softness, but they are still excellent. An extremely fine crystallized Valentinite. The measurements are for the largest specimen.
