Wow! Wow! What a little beauty!! Who could not love this quite delightful and stunning deep lilac Fluorapatite from its type locality near the town of Ehrenfriedersdorf in Saxony, Germany. The hexagonal prismatic Fluorapatite crystals densely coat a massive milky Quartz matrix covered with small colourless to pale milky-grey Quartz crystals of around 4 mm high. The Fluorapatite forms crystals to 9 mm wide and 5 mm thick and tend to darken towards their centres, with pale lavender terminations grading to rich lavender centres. The rich coverage of Fluorapatite crystals enhances their colour even more, making it a showy and most classy historic specimen. It is obviously an old-time specimen judged solely upon the accompanying Sammlung Weinberger label, in beautiful handwriting commensurate with this early period of collecting and stamped on the back, Julius Bohm, Wien. This specimen provides a wonderful opportunity to acquire a fabulous Fluorapatite from its type locality in Saxony.
