Beryl var. Aquamarine
When one thinks of Barra de Salinas near the town of Coronel Murta in northeastern Minas Gerais, Brazil one usually thinks of gem tourmalines, but there are interesting Beryl's too. This 6.2 cm tall, double or co-joined parallel crystals of Beryl, var. Aquamarine, is frosted with internal inclusions throughout much of their length, but with gem clear terminations. The two terminations are stepped slightly, but both are well formed, and not a straightforward pinacoids, having interesting sloping developments to the edges. Lower down the prisms merge, making the base look like a single crystal. There are a few minor abrasions visible around the edges of the prism, and a small growth of an unidentified darker mineral in one small (less than 1 cm) area, but the specimen sits very nicely for display with a perfectly flat base. Overall, this is a very nice Brazilian Beryl, var Aquamarine crystal, or crystals.
