Adamite
Unknown Owner
If you're unsure which of the many famous Mexican mines Ojuela is, then picture the famous narrow suspension bridge which gave access to the mine entrance. It appears perilously high above the canyon below! Ojuela is also famed for its extensive list of minerals and this light peppermint green group of crystalline Adamite clusters is a super example. The Adamite forms spherical clusters averaging about 1 cm diameter, richly lining an open vug in a rusty dark chocolate brown gossan matrix. The accompanying video shows this specimen in white LED light and ultraviolet light, under which the Adamite fluoresces a spectacular bright lime to chartreuse green. A spectacular large miniature of clustered Adamite from Ojuela mine.
