This superb cabinet-sized plate of classic pale sea-green to apple-green Fluorite from West Pasture mine is covered in perfect, sharp, intergrown cubes individually to 1.7 cm on edge. The specimen is well balanced on a small but robust bed of dark grey limestone with minor Galena present beneath the Fluorite. The colour of these West Pasture mine Fluorites is so distinctive, dare I say unique. This one reveals subtle purple zonation in a band towards the edge of the crystals. Specimens from this mine were mostly collected during the late 1990s and early 2000s when collectors managed to gain access to the workings and this is a superb example. The specimen heralds from George Farr's superb Fluorite collection.
