This active cobalt-nickel mine has produced almost 50 mineral species, many of extremely high quality and one type specimen, Arhbarite. Most mineral collectors are familiar with the cobalt arsenide Skutterudite, especially from the many fine occurrences throughout Morocco. However, based on the many specimens I have seen over the last thirty years, this surely must rank as one of the finest ever, with a coverage of magnificent equant silver crystals embedded in snow-white Calcite covering a mixed Calcite-Skutterudite matrix. From the Aghbar mine in the famous Bou Azzer District of Morocco, to see so many perfect, complexly modified isometric crystals individually scattered throughout the white contrasting Calcite is superb and once displayed, will become an eye-catching showstopper! The Skutterudite crystals range between a few millimetres and 1.4 cm in diameter, forming dodecahedron and trapezohedron habits, themselves often complexly mixed. A stunning Skutterudite from Aghbar mine in Morocco. Please note this specimen may incur an additional postage cost due to its weight.
