Wire transfers available, to set up
A fine cluster of semi-transparent to mainly translucent, glassy, tan Baryte crystals nestle in an open and exposed marl vug lined with mm-sized creamy-white Calcite crystals. From the beach locality below Peak Hill at Sidmouth in south Devon, a site that has become famous over the last twenty years. The Baryte occurs high in the cliff face and is only accessible to collectors following rock falls onto the beach below. The site is very dangerous due to the almost constant rain of falling rocks. The Baryte occurs in blades of up to 3.5 x 1.2 v 0.4 cm, with well formed square terminations.
