A great specimen of Russian Emerald, a variety of Beryl, in crystals measuring to 2.3 cm from Malyshevo in the Middle Urals. Gemmy, rich emerald-green to opaque hexagonal Beryl crystals dominate a matrix of mixed light and dark smoky Quartz with a small book of Biotite mica. A splendid and rich Russian Emerald specimen and a fine example from this famous locality.
