Tucson, Arizona, USAA super specimen of Dioptase coated by Conichalcite/Duftite from the Tsumeb Mine, Namibia. Well developed lustrous crystals of rich emerald green Dioptase covers the display face of the specimen. The Dioptase is 75% covered by a layer of apple green Conichalcite/Duftite with a further limited deposition of Dioptase crystals has formed on the Conichalcite/Duftite. The reverse of the specimen is also partly covered by lustrous crystals of Dioptase measuring to 0.9cm, on a white Dolomite and reddish Goethite matrix. A fine Tsumeb specimen.
