Tucson, Arizona, USAThis ex-matrix pseudomorph of beautiful light emerald green Malachite replacing Azurite is from the Tsumeb mine in Namibia. This splendid miniature is a composite of several pseudomorphs clustered around one much larger crystal measuring 5.5 x 3.2 x 1.8 cm with a well-defined chisel-tip termination. The Malachite has a velvety texture with a silky lustre and forms many surface patterns of fanned radial acicular sprays. A cluster of partly etched reticulated Cerussite crystals stand proud of the main pseudomorph to one side measuring 2.5 x 2.0 x 1.0 cm.
