This superb cabinet-sized specimen from the Wölsendorf mining area in Germany exudes character. Upon it, orange-red Hematite-included pyramidal Quartz crystals of the variety known as Eisenkiesel densely cover a very dark purple crystal plate of Fluorite. These Quartz crystals reach 1 cm across and with their good size and even distribution across the surface of the contrasting darker coloured Fluorite makes for a striking display. This association of red Eisenkiesel Quartz and Fluorite is distinctly Wölsendorf, but this superb larger display piece really is of the highest quality.
