Malachite and Azurite combine to form a beautiful small miniature of banded emerald-green and azure-blue, from the copper deposit at Miedzianka in the Rudawy Janowickie Mountains of Lower Silesia, Poland. The Malachite occurs as fibrous banded structures, sandwiched between layers of Azurite. One section displays tightly folded stalactitic structures of remarkable beauty, especially when examined closer at low magnification. A gorgeous Malachite and Azurite from Miedzianka, with a tiny 2 mm druse of greenish-yellow Pyromorphite.
