A fine, old-time, miniature Cornish Chalcocite forming a pure tessellated aggregate of complex dark gunmetal grey metallic crystals. It is from one of the most famous of Cornish mines for Chalcocite - St. Ives Consols. The crystals display complex forms and intergrowth with a characteristic segmented ridge-like growth habit on the prism faces. The crystals of Chalcocite individually reach 0.6 cm in length. A superb miniature British Chalcocite.
