A substantial crystalline sheet of bright, slightly yellowish-silver Native Silver measuring to 7 cm, stands well above a matrix dominated by an undefined metallic silvery-grey mineral and some Calcite. A rich cabinet specimen of Native Silver from the Sudbury mining area in Ontario, Canada. The Sudbury district is a giant polymetallic deposit hosted within one of the Earth's largest impact craters, at some 250 km in diameter. That is one mighty big impact!
