A chunky, off-matrix Pyromorphite from the Bad Ems District of the Lahn valley in Germany. Typical of this district, the crystals are very large for the species, measuring to 2.5 cm tall by typically 0.5 cm across. The crystals are coated in a thin dark burnt red-orange crust of Pyromorphite and where this is missing, the pale orange to flesh-pink crystals show trough. A lovely Bad Ems Pyromorphite.
